Our Story

Where it all started
In 2007, Avery and Abby met while assisting at Dolce.
Avery was the head assistant—sharp, confident, and naturally in charge.
Abby? 19 years old, fresh out of a town of 100 people in Iowa... and scared shitless. They couldn’t have been more different, but something clicked.

Built on Hair, Bonded by Heart
A shared passion for hair—and more importantly, people—brought them together. They trained hard. Learned fast. Built trust and found the same rhythm.

Avery became a Bumble and Bumble educator, a poised leader who thrives on learning and lifting others up.
Abby was always a creative whirlwind dreaming up her next big thing and dreamboarding her next vision. Her husband calls her: the organized tornado.

SOHO Hairbar
Together they built the vision for SOHO Hairbar. It was never forced—it just fit. The space reminded them of SoHo in New York from the second they stepped inside: exposed brick, industrial vibes, big energy.
Their first big decision? A bold blue couch. That’s when they knew: If we can agree on a couch like that, our souls are aligned.
